    Finally, Decorating!

I’m writing this to you at my most favorite time of day. There is nobody here but me and of course Sam, my adorable feline, and Moxie, the daily more adorable Dalmatian. My aide has gone for the day, and Herman won’t be here for about an hour. Don’t misunderstand. I enjoy their company and help every day. The thing is, because I cannot do many things for myself, I am lucky to have the support that I do. But I have always enjoyed quiet time on my own. Even during my crazy days of partying I needed some down time of my own. And it’s not necessarily to do anything. Just to have even an hour to think. There are numerous things that pop into my mind on a daily basis, and it’s usually at a time when someone is here helping me. Therefore, I find that I cannot totally focus on whatever it is until I’m alone.

For instance, I’ve been looking at this 4-poster bed from Eddie Bauer for probably five years. I have finally just ordered it when I found it to be on sale. In fact, I just broke away from writing this to you to call Eddie Bauer to confirm the delivery date for this bed. The thing is, the bed is finally on sale for the first time in as many years as I have been looking at it. But, I don’t want it delivered until the first week in November. Since it takes 10 weeks for delivery, in order for me to still get it on sale, a very nice employee of the Eddie Bauer home store in Albany, named Brenda, figured out that she could order the bed for me at the very end of the sale and get it delivered to me on my desired November date.

Many thanks to Brenda! I finally am getting the bed I have wanted for a very long time. I’m also getting a full-length oval mirror in a pine oval frame that’s mounted on a pine stand. So, essentially, the mirror swivels back and forth. I have also been looking at this mirror for five years. The thing is, they both have finally gone on sale at the same time and this was the time I wanted to buy them! Oh, joy!

So it takes times like these when I’m alone to totally organize my thoughts and make the necessary phone calls for some serious home decorating. I’m absolutely never into stuff like this, but I’ve been waiting for so long for these items to go on sale that when I saw them on sale I had to jump. And fortunately Herman and Robin weren’t here to hold me back. Just my cat and dog, who, incidentally, totally support my decision as they thought the furniture in question was gorgeous, too!
