    Happy February To All!

I’m actually writing this to you on New Year’s Day. It was supposed to be sunny today as of yesterday’s forecast, but I woke up to a blanket of clouds. Therefore, my New Year’s Day plans of sunbathing on my front deck were aborted.

I tried to write this to you guys on my digital remote recorder yesterday, but alas, it would not transfer into text on my computer as it is supposed to do. Herman tried to make it work to no avail. So he is sitting here typing as per my dictation. I usually write to you on my voice activated software called DragonDictate. But it being New Year’s Day I couldn’t face it with all the corrections I have to do.

My aide Terry has the day off today, so I’m stuck with Herman. "And he’s stuck with me," he just piped up. Oh, what a lucky dog he is. Even though he’s been complaining about my constant demands. I’m going to say this with you guys and Herman as witnesses.

I solemnly vow to get better, even though I said I’d never change. This is my New Year’s resolution. Thereby making me much more attractive to be around. I hope I’m successful at this, because I don’t want to wear Herman down. He is so worth changing for. And maybe I’ve been seven long enough. Herman is looking over his shoulder at me skeptically, but I’m determined to prove him wrong.

I just glanced over at my desktop weather icon, courtesy of Channel 10. It says 37F degrees. I cannot wait for the day where those numbers are inverted. Speaking of warmer temperatures, I just purchased two new bathing suits. I encourage you all to go to www.venusswimwear.com and have a delightful summer shopping trip.

I’m already a registered shopper there. And I think you’ll all love the bathing suits they have. There’s something wonderful about getting bathing suits in December. Herman thinks I’m nuts, but I’m already planning for my Florida trip.

I’ve even purchased new sunblock for the occasion. So if you see me out and about, I should be plenty suntanned, especially since I’m getting a base coat at a local tanning booth owned and operated by Teresa Johnson here in Caroga Lake. I know I’ve listed her phone number before, but here it is again: 835-2488. She also does hair, both men’s and women’s and children.

So these are my thoughts as of New Year’s Day 2003. As always I’m dreaming of the sun and hoping to get there soon. Have a great New Year!
