    A Brothers and Sisters Wedding

I have been recently watching a television show called Brothers and Sisters.  It’s on ABC-TV at 10 p.m. on Sundays. I generally have Herman tape this show for me so I can watch it the next day.  Is my morning routine to watch last night's show.

On the Dec. 2 episode, the two main characters got married. Calista Flockhart plays Kitty Walker, the bride and Rob Lowe plays Robert McCallister, the groom, a senator running for President. As with most functions in the Walker family, there seems to be much more going on than the actual wedding.  Mom Walker, played by Sally Field, is trying to give Kitty a whole series of “Mom” advice.  Despite all of the outside conflict the wedding goes off without a hitch.

There is a pretty hilarious subplot involving the gay brother who has had a relationship with the groom’s brother.  Then there is the new sister who has come into the picture like a bull in a china shop.

Suffice it to say the Walker sisters aren't that enthused with their new sibling.

For one thing, she kissed the husband of one of the sisters.

Also, since their father turns out to be her father yet with a different woman other than their mother, this becomes a problem within the whole family.

This show has been on for several months and we learned about the errant daughter during the first two episodes.  The family seems to be able to put their differences aside for this special wedding day.  Being a politician, the senator has his plate full.  He has an adviser who is apparently taking care of it.  When it gets to the point where they are thinking of calling the newlyweds on their honeymoon, Kitty’s mother begs the adviser to just let them have their time alone.

Judging from how the show is going it seems very likely that McCallister will prevail as president.

I highly recommend this hour-long television show.  It will be totally worth your while to view it.  As I said before it’s on Sunday nights and if you want to catch up on previous episodes go to ABC.com and click on the icon for Brothers and Sisters.
